we pray, pray
open the windows of heaven on us today
we pray
pour out your spirit,
your wonders on earth

sex is currency
she sells cars, she sells magazines.
addictive, bittersweet, clap your hands
with the hopeless nicotines.
everyone's a lost romantic, since our love became a kissing show
everyone's a casanova, come and pass me the mistletoe
everyone's been scared to death of dying here alone

she is easier than love, is easier than life.
it's easier to fake and smile and bribe
its easier to leave. its easier to lie.
its harder to face ourselves at night, feeling alone
what have we done, what is the monster we've become
where is my soul?

sex is industry, the CEO of coporate policy
skin deep ministry, suburban youth, hail your so called liberty
every advertising antic our banner waves with a neon glow
war and love become pedantic, we wage love with a mistletoe
everyone's been scared to death of dying here along
sex is easier than love.

im not usually one to post whole songs, but its such a meaningful song! but only if you know the meaning of pedantic, whatever that is. i watched "walk the line" with jiejie today, and the story of johnny cash is so like the song. sex, drugs, adultery. at least it ended happily. also, the movie's refulled my love for old school rock. ACDC's "she shook me all night long" is really funky, they added the different riffs of many classic rock songs in the bridge of the song, including that of "sweet child of mine". duran duran! aerosmith! eagle eye cherry! nine days! woo! i am now gonna change my lead style to that of old-school rock. pour on the overdrive, vintage amps, sparkling clean lead sounds! VOX AC30s and marshall amps!

to those who are sad or depressed.

you are golden, you are golden child
you are golden, dont let go, dont let go tonight
there's a fear that burns like trash inside
and your shame the curse that burns your eyes
you've been hiding in the bedroom hoping this isn't how the story has to go
its not the way it goes, its your book now.

switchfoot is an amazing band. the music's nice, appeals to people. the lyrics are so meaningful, plus the english used is superb! entropy, penintent. can anyone tell me what satiric means? and the musicians of switchfoot are really good. i think they're chosen by God. :D

it was raining today, so we didn't go out to sea for training. instead, we had physical training in the school's gym. a killer. 5 sets of bench presses, 25kg weights, 20 per set. then, 5 sets of the reverse bench press thing, 25kg weights, 20 per set. 60 times 5 sets of the thight thing. dunno what its called, 30kg weights. rowing machine, 100m in 35secs. the back training exercise, 5 sets, 30 each time. hiking machine, 3 times 2minutes each, and one set had the 2kg ball exercise. to top it off, 2 rounds round the school in 5min. that's 1.2km. i think my muscles are shivering now, i hope i dont wake up with cramps.

grammy awards are showing on tv now, later!

God is moving
can you hear the sound of revival?

oh i had a dream last night, that i was buying the new UNITED album from trumpet praise. cant really remember what happened after that though haha.

school's stressful. recently i've been increasingly motivated to work harder in my studies. like my class would say, "pulling up my bra". especially in light of my recent 2/10 differentiation test. life is so stressful. also, i realise that i have been neglecting guitar and drums. and God. so, i am setting new resolutions for myself.

1) place God first in everything. includes consulting Him, spending time with Him, even more than i already am
2) be on top of my work, finish work on the day it was given, read up on topics before they are taught
3) spend one hour minimum everyday practicing guitar techniques and drum rudiments.

its gonna be tough, but i'll do it:D just watch me.

i miss that long hair.

Jesus, the Lover of my soul.
