ah, back after a long blogging hiatus. wont be going on much from now, its gonna be studying most of the time. i'll leave this blog to gather dust before coming back to clean it once in a while.
this year's national inter-schools sailing championships are over. we definitely didn't do as expected, im ashamed to go to school, there's no place to hide my face. in a really disappointing turn of events, one of our sailors got yellow carded thrice - that means instant disqualification from the whole competition. anyhow, even though we were in pretty good standing after the first day - second, and only 7 points behind; we just totally faded out on the 2nd day. i managed to push myself up 5 positions, but our other sailors dropped a few positions here and there, so in the end we ended up FOURTH. we even lost to RI and SSPS. how disappointing is that? the defending champions, losing by a pretty big margin. oh well, He gives and takes away. at least we didn't let AC keep the trophy, cause the school'll get to keep the trophy after winning it for 3 years consecutively, and we broke their streak last year haha.
im interrupting my rambling to tell everyone how lovely my jiejie is! i'm the priveleged one who gets a call from her during her first day on perth, 70min somemore! woot! JIEJIE I LOVE YOU!
anyhow, the sailing teacher in VJ told me on the 1st day of competition that the slots available for DSA this year are really limited, since next year's SYF year. my teacher in charge tells me that i have a slim chance of getting in, but the two sailors who are better than me in my school have a pretty decent chance. that's really unfair, considering how i placed only THREE positions behind the second sailor in my school! only THREE! from what my teacher says, TJ's sailing teacher invited me to TJ through him. but i dont really wanna go to TJ! all along, i've set my sights on either VJ or AC. its tough, especially since i'm not sure if i can back out at the end of the year if i accept TJ's proposition. anyhow, im leaving it all in God's hands, its up to Him to lead me as He pleases! :D
